REGARDING THE PASSING OF BILL DAVIDSON
NBA Commissioner David Stern issued thefollowing statement today regarding the passing of Detroit Pistons ownerBill Davidson:"Over the last 35 years, Bill Davidson's impact on the sports world and theNBA in particular has truly been legendary. From his seven championshipsin three different leagues during his Hall of Fame career to his incrediblebusiness successes to his extraordinary community service, Bill set astandard for ownership in sports that will be difficult for anyone tomatch. The NBA family has lost an innovative thinker, a visionarybusinessman and most importantly, a trusted friend. I want to extend ourcondolences to Karen and the entire Davidson family during this time.
